On February 14, 2023, 13-year-old Jaeden Travis was fatally shot near his home on Windward Lane in Norcross, Georgia. The incident occurred around 5:40 p.m. when a fight broke out between Travis and several other individuals.

According to Gwinnett County Police, Travis was found shot in the street and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The police reported that the motive for the incident was unclear at the time and were following up on leads.
