On March 29, 2023, 21-year-old Torey Shepherd was fatally shot in Lithonia, Georgia, during a violent confrontation.

The incident occurred on Kelly Street in Lithonia, where an argument between Shepherd and 42-year-old Kali Smith escalated into a deadly shootout. According to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, the argument turned violent, resulting in Shepherd being wounded by gunfire.
