In the early morning hours of May 24, 2023, the quiet of a Lawrenceville, Georgia neighborhood was shattered by a tragic event that left two people dead and a family irrevocably broken. Mirian Farranto, a 35-year-old Hispanic female, and Christopher Farranto, 52, were discovered deceased in the driveway of their Woodington Circle home from gunshot wounds. The grim discovery was made around 6 a.m.
by Mirian's teenage son, who then placed a harrowing call to 911.
Responding officers from the Gwinnett County Police Department arrived to find the couple's bodies, confirming they were deceased at the scene. Inside the home, three children, including the teenager who made the emergency call, were found physically unharmed.
