Death by Force

Deputy Sheriff Tyee Michael Browne, a 26-year-old officer with the Crisp County Sheriff's Office, was fatally shot on July 5, 2023, during a traffic stop in Cordele, Georgia. The incident occurred at approximately 3:40 a.m. in the 1300 block of Highway 280 West, where Deputy Browne had stopped a vehicle that was reported stolen.
