In the heart of Atlanta's West End neighborhood, a burst of gunfire shattered the afternoon calm on September 23, 2023, leaving three people, including 17-year-old Derrion Johnson, dead. The tragic incident unfolded around 1:25 p.m. in the 600 block of Evans Street, near the Mall West End.
