Jonathan Terry Hayes, a 72-year-old former security guard at the Perry Fairgrounds, was tragically killed on November 19, 2023, in Baxley, Georgia. The incident occurred when law enforcement responded to a shooting call at approximately 1:14 p.m. at 1196 Henry Griffin Road. Upon arrival, officers found Hayes deceased from a gunshot wound.
