In the early morning hours of December 26, 2009, a festive night out turned tragic in the parking lot of Club Peppers in Baxley, Georgia. It was there that 19-year-old Christopher Yarbrough, a Black male, was shot and killed. The violence of that night was not limited to Yarbrough; two other individuals were also struck by gunfire but fortunately survived their injuries.
