In the winter of 2024, the life of 34-year-old Destyn Rashad Alexander, a Black/African American male, was tragically cut short in Gainesville, Georgia. On the afternoon of January 19th, police responded to a shooting at a Motel 6 on Monroe Drive. Upon arrival, they discovered Alexander had been shot in the chest. He was quickly transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center, but tragically succumbed to his injuries.
