On March 16, 2024, a tragic incident occurred in Vidalia, Georgia, resulting in the deaths of Justin Godfrey, 23, and Iesha Wicker, 18, who was also pregnant at the time.

At approximately 5:02 p.m., the Vidalia Police Department responded to a report of shots fired near the intersection of East Jenkins and Epstein Streets.
