In the small city of Vidalia, Georgia, a life was cut tragically short on the night of Saturday, April 13, 2024. Quashaun Lamarious Chillious, a 28-year-old male from the nearby community of Mount Vernon, was fatally shot in an incident that prompted a homicide investigation.
Around 10:59 p.m., the Vidalia Police Department received calls reporting shots fired in the 500 block of East Jenkins Street. Before law enforcement could arrive at the scene, Chillious had already been transported by a private vehicle to Memorial Health Meadows Hospital.
