In a quiet neighborhood of Atlanta, the life of a young man was tragically cut short. Rodney Amir Thompson, a 16-year-old male, was found with a gunshot wound inside his grandmother's home on Judy Lane in the Browns Mill Park neighborhood on the evening of May 1, 2024. Officers responded to a call about a shooting shortly after 7 p.m. and discovered the teenager, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
It was his maternal grandmother who made the heartbreaking discovery.
