On August 5, 2024, Devon Anderson, a 38-year-old man, was shot and killed outside a bar in the 5000 block of Old National Highway in College Park, Georgia. The incident involved Melvin Potter, a 30-year-old off-duty officer from the Atlanta Police Department.
