On August 28, 2024, a fatal shooting occurred in Troup County, Georgia, resulting in the death of 16-year-old Kyren Rainn Johnson. Johnson, a student at LaGrange High School, was found unresponsive outside a home in the 100 block of Montrose Way after deputies from the Troup County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a shooting at approximately 4:22 p.m..
