On September 2, 2024, 25-year-old Marcus McLeod was fatally shot in Columbus, Georgia. The incident occurred around 6:24 p.m. in the 6200 block of Trestlewood Drive. Upon arrival, officers found McLeod lying on the floor with a gunshot wound. He was transported to Piedmont Columbus Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 7:17 p.m.
