On October 20, 2024, Jaquan Jones, an 18-year-old resident of Tifton, Georgia, lost his life due to a gunshot wound. The incident occurred at a home located on Tifton-Eldorado Road in Tifton, where the Tifton Police Department responded to reports of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers found Jaquan Jones suffering from a gunshot wound. He was immediately taken to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
