In the summer of 2023, the life of 31-year-old Tyshida Williams, a Black/African American woman and special police officer, was tragically cut short in Washington, D.C. On the morning of July 30th, police responded to a call initially reported as a suicide at an apartment on South Capitol Street, SW.
