On September 6, 2015, Carlos Yero, 59, was shot and killed by Miami police officers in Miami, Florida. The incident began as a response to a domestic violence call, where officers found a woman injured with multiple lacerations. Yero initially fled the scene in his SUV but returned shortly afterward. According to the Miami Police Department, Yero attempted to re-enter his home and allegedly pointed a firearm at the officers. After refusing commands to drop the weapon, police shot and killed him. ...
