In the early hours of July 12, 2024, 26-year-old Danzell Hall was fatally shot in the 1500 block of Benning Road, Northeast Washington, D.C. Officers from the Metropolitan Police Department's Fifth District responded to reports of a shooting at approximately 2:52 a.m. Upon arrival, they found Hall unresponsive on the sidewalk with apparent gunshot wounds. Despite prompt attention from DC Fire and EMS personnel, Hall was pronounced dead at the scene.
