In the early morning hours of Friday, July 12, 2024, tragedy struck in the Northeast quadrant of Washington, D.C. It was there, in the 1500 block of Benning Road, that 26-year-old Danzell Hall, a male resident of the area, was found unconscious and unresponsive on the sidewalk just before 3 a.m. He had sustained apparent gunshot wounds, and despite the quick response of D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel, no signs of life were found. Hall was pronounced dead at the scene.
