On August 27, 2023, a tragic incident occurred in Orange County, Florida, resulting in the death of 43-year-old Nanchin Hassan Adeyemo. Deputies from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call at approximately 7:22 p.m. at the 6600 block of Taxiway Circle, a residential area near the Conway neighborhood. Upon arrival, they found Nanchin Adeyemo who had been shot by her husband, 46-year-old Hassan Teddy Adeyemo.
Hassan Adeyemo had allegedly shot his wife multiple times, including in the head, chest, and leg. After the shooting, he called 911 and reported the incident, stating, "Hello, I just killed the bitch. This is the address, I am waiting for you." He remained at the scene and was found sitting on the floor beside Nanchin's body when the authorities arrived.
Nanchin was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she was still breathing upon arrival but succumbed to her injuries two hours later.
Hassan Adeyemo was arrested and charged with first-degree murder. He is currently being held without bail at the Orange County Jail and is likely to face a death sentence or life in prison without parole. The incident was described as "domestic in nature" by the Sheriff’s Office, indicating a history of domestic issues between the couple. Prior to the fatal incident, there had been growing resentment and tension, partly due to financial and marital issues, as Nanchin had become the breadwinner of the household through her successful hair braiding business, while Hassan worked as an Uber driver and delivery man.
