Martaiz Deshawn McGruder, a 23-year-old from Jacksonville, Florida, was fatally shot in an incident involving a security guard at an illegal gambling facility. The event occurred when McGruder allegedly attempted to steal $5,000 from the manager of the illegal gaming room located in the Brentwood area of Jacksonville.
