On January 6, 2024, a drug deal gone wrong led to the death of 21-year-old Patrick Stanley Jr. in Ocala, Florida. The incident occurred in the 2200 block of SW 2nd St., where Ocala police responded to reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found Stanley had been shot in his leg. He was taken to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
