Kingston Satune Jr., a resident of Miami, Florida, was shot and killed inside a cosmetic store in northeast Miami-Dade on January 10, 2024. The incident occurred around 3:15 p.m. at a multi-use cosmetic business located at 190 NE 199 Street, just west of the Ives Estates area and Interstate 95.
According to preliminary information, an argument between two men ensued inside the store. Two men in dark-colored clothing entered the business, and one of them shot and killed Satune.
The gunman then fled the scene in a white Mercedes-Benz and remains at large.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crews responded to the reported shooting and found Satune’s body on the second floor of the office building, which houses several other businesses, including a medical practice and a children’s daycare. All the businesses were open at the time of the shooting, and some staff and patients were stuck inside during the investigation. The daycare alerted parents about the shooting and asked them to come pick up their children immediately.
Satune was described by those who knew him as a young father who often kept to himself. Following the shooting, several people were detained as detectives worked to establish their level of involvement in the incident. The police are urging anyone with information about the culprits to contact Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers, with a reward of up to $5,000 available for information leading to an arrest or arrests. As of the current date, the case remains unsolved, and the gunman is still at large.
