On April 9, 2016, 49-year-old Pablo Bautista was killed in a tragic incident in Tampa, Florida, involving a dispute over a car repossession. The altercation took place in a parking lot, where Bautista confronted a tow truck operator attempting to repossess his vehicle. During the confrontation, Bautista stabbed the tow truck driver multiple times, leading to a chaotic scene.
