Khalil Abdullah Lavon Burt, an 11-year-old boy from Roanoke, Virginia, tragically lost his life on May 26, 2016. Khalil was born on May 5, 2005, in Essex, Maryland, to Isha Welch and the late Kevin Lilshawn Burt. He had just been promoted to the sixth grade from Westside Elementary School.
