Mikesha Johnson, a 21-year-old woman, was found shot and dumped on the side of a road in the early hours of March 5, 2024. Hallandale Beach Police responded to reports of an unconscious and injured woman who had been dropped off by a vehicle on Pembroke Road, near the Hollywood-Hallandale Beach border. Upon arrival, officers found Johnson suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. Despite efforts by police and fire rescue to provide medical aid, Johnson died from her injuries at the scene.
