On April 11, 2024, a fatal shooting occurred at the Indrio Savannahs Preserve in St. Lucie County, Florida. The victim, identified as James Alan Behncke, was a 47-year-old man from Indian River County. The incident took place around 6 p.m. at the preserve, which is a nearly 300-acre site located in the 5200 block of Tozour Road in Fort Pierce.
