Leon Mobley Jr., an 18-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on May 7, 2015, in Fort Pierce, Florida. The incident occurred near the St. Lucie County Library, at the intersection of Avenue D and North 31st Street. According to reports, Leon Mobley Jr. was shot multiple times by an unknown assailant. Neighbors in the area reported hearing a barrage of gunfire and had to take cover. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, Mobley succumbed to his injuries.
