On June 6, 2024, a tragic incident occurred in Miami's Little Havana neighborhood, resulting in the death of 62-year-old Luciano Obdulio Matute. The shooting took place around 8:30 a.m. in the 700 block of Southwest 5th Street.

Matute rushed to his granddaughter's apartment after receiving a call from his daughter, who had been alerted by the 11-year-old girl about an intruder in their home. Upon arriving at the scene, Matute confronted the suspect and was shot in the chest. He was imme ...
