In the early morning hours of June 8, 2018, the life of 17-year-old Tyrese Robert Parson, a Black/African American male, was tragically cut short in Des Moines, Iowa. Just before 6:30 a.m., a call was made to police about a person down in the 800 block of East 27th Court. When officers and medics arrived at the scene, they found Tyrese's body on the sidewalk. It was soon determined that the teenager had sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
