On July 5, 2024, a fatal shooting occurred in Miami-Dade County, Florida, resulting in the death of Lazaro Sanchez, a 36-year-old father of two. The incident took place shortly before 1:10 p.m. at the location of 7393 NW 36 St, an area west of the Miami International Airport and east of the Palmetto Expressway.
According to Detective Andre Martin of the Miami-Dade Police Department, the shooting was a consequence of a feud between two groups that escalated into a fight.
Apart from Sanchez's death, two other individuals were injured in the incident. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel responded promptly, using a helicopter and an ambulance to transport the injured to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center.
The crime scene was secured by police officers, who covered Sanchez's body with a yellow tarp. The investigation is ongoing, and detectives have appealed to the public for any information related to this case.
