Terrance Stevenson, a 16-year-old from Miami, Florida, tragically lost his life on January 3, 2020. According to reports, Stevenson was riding in a car when he was shot. The incident occurred in northwest Miami-Dade, specifically in the area of Northwest 64th Street and 18th Avenue. Stevenson was rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center by his brother, but despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arriving at the hospital. The car he was in showed signs of projectile damage, indicating that the vehicle had been shot at multiple times.
The circumstances surrounding Stevenson’s death remain unclear. His grandmother, Joanna Brown, mentioned that he was leaving his grandfather’s home when another vehicle approached and opened fire. It is not known whether the shooting was targeted or random, but the area had experienced a number of drive-by shootings around that time. Brown also revealed that another of Stevenson’s brothers had been killed in a similar manner five years prior. Despite the tragic loss, Stevenson was remembered as a good student with promising grades who attended St. Anthony School in Miami Gardens.
As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with Terrance Stevenson’s murder. The Miami-Dade police have been investigating the case, but no suspects have been identified.
