On July 6, 2024, 44-year-old Christian Colon was fatally shot at his residence in the upscale Nurmi Isles neighborhood of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The incident occurred around 10:49 a.m. when police received a call about a shooting at a mansion located on the 100 block of Nurmi Drive.
Upon arrival, officers found Colon suffering from gunshot wounds, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

He was ordered to be held without bond and was required to undergo a mental health screening.
