Anchorage Police are investigating the death of 44-year-old Sophie Macar. Macar`s body was found on May 12, 1995 between a house on 4th Avenue and the American Tire Warehouse off Unga Street. Macar had been struck in the face and was missing her pants. She had been strangled and a wooden pallet had been placed on top of her body.
