Robert Trusty III, a 24-year-old resident of Vero Beach, Florida, was fatally shot on August 8, 2024. The incident occurred in the 3100 Block of 43rd Street, where a 911 call was received by the Indian River County Sheriff's Office at 8:50 PM. Upon arrival, deputies found Trusty suffering from several gunshot wounds and unresponsive. He was immediately rushed to the Cleveland Clinic of Indian River County, where he was pronounced dead by medical staff.
