On October 13, 2024, a double-shooting incident occurred in Escambia County, Florida, near a park on Chimes Way, resulting in the death of 26-year-old Jaquantis Johnson. The shooting took place around 3 a.m.

Jaquantis Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene, while another individual was hospitalized with injuries. The identity of the deceased was confirmed by his family.
