Murdered

On April 12, 2023, Michael Gaines, a 58-year-old resident of Bridgeport, Connecticut, was fatally shot in a targeted killing. The incident occurred at the corner of East Main Street and Arctic Street, in front of Shorty's Deli, located on the city's East Side.

Gaines was found shot in the head, and security cameras captured the incident, showing the suspect walking directly up to Gaines, who was sitting down, pulling out a firearm, and firing it without any provocation.
