On the night of March 30, 2024, Richard Davis, a 30-year-old Black male from Bridgeport, Connecticut, was fatally shot in an incident that also resulted in the death of another man. The violent encounter unfolded at an illegal gambling club situated on Stratford Avenue in Bridgeport. When police responded to reports of gunfire around 11:00 p.m., they discovered Davis and another individual, 32-year-old Tayvon Geter, outside the establishment with gunshot wounds.
