Collin Starcher, a 21-year-old from Greer, South Carolina, tragically lost his life on January 23, 2018, in Simpsonville. The incident occurred at the Gateway Village Apartments on Boyd Avenue, where Starcher was found shot in the parking lot. According to reports, an altercation took place between Starcher and one or more individuals before witnesses heard gunshots around 7:20 p.m. Starcher was pronounced dead at the scene by the Greenville County Coroner's Office.
