In the early morning hours of August 27, 2023, the life of 26-year-old Johnny Ray Barnes, a Black/African American male, was tragically cut short by gun violence in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The incident unfolded outside the V.I.P. Lounge on Pembroke Street, where a dispute escalated into a fatal confrontation.
