On January 6, 2023, a homicide occurred in Canon City, Colorado, resulting in the death of 72-year-old William L. "Bill" Tippet Jr. The incident took place around 9 p.m. on the 400 block of S. Raynolds Ave., near the Aftermath Haunted House. Deputies from the Fremont County Sheriff's Office found a deceased male with signs of trauma at the scene.
