Karol Ximena Bedoya, a 44-year-old female, was at her home in the Montbello neighborhood of Denver on the evening of February 24, 2023. She was a mother to four children and was watching television on her living room couch with her two-year-old grandson beside her. The quiet evening was shattered when her boyfriend of ten years, Clemente Flores-Hernandez, burst into the residence. He fired a gun at close range, shooting Bedoya multiple times and ending her life at the scene.
