On an evening in early spring, a burst of violence shattered the peace at a fourplex on Kipling Street in Lakewood, Colorado, leaving a young man dead and a community searching for answers. Francisco Martinez, a 24-year-old man, was fatally shot on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, in what authorities have described as an isolated incident.
