On the evening of October 7, 2023, 26-year-old Cortez Brown was fatally shot near Marion, Arkansas. Crittenden County authorities responded to reports of multiple gunshots around 8:30 p.m. in the 300 block of Stonebrook Loop. Upon arrival, deputies discovered Brown had been shot multiple times.
