On December 3, 2023, a double homicide occurred in Wilmar, Arkansas, resulting in the deaths of Suquorey Pitts Jr. and Independence Young. Suquorey Pitts Jr., a 25-year-old resident of Dumas, Arkansas, was found dead in the front passenger seat of a vehicle parked in the driveway of the old Wilmar School on North 5th Street. He was born on December 27, 1997, in Columbus, Georgia.
