In the early hours of March 31, 2024, a young man's life was cut short on a rural road just outside of Judsonia, Arkansas. Xavier Green, a 20-year-old White male from the nearby city of Searcy, was fatally shot following a dispute. The incident unfolded around 3 a.m. near a salvage yard, where deputies from the White County Sheriff's Office would later find Green deceased in the roadway.
An argument between Xavier Green and another man, 32-year-old Brandon Stith, escalated with tragic
consequences. According to witness accounts, the confrontation began with Stith firing a pistol into the air. He then reportedly went into his residence, emerged with a rifle, and fired at Green, who was in the road.
Following the discovery of Green's body, law enforcement initiated an investigation that quickly led them to Stith. A search warrant was executed at his home, where investigators collected a pistol, a rifle, and spent shell casings as evidence.
Brandon Stith was arrested in connection with the shooting. He has since been charged with capital murder, aggravated assault, and tampering with physical evidence. Stith is currently being held at the White County Jail without bond as the legal proceedings continue.
