In the early morning hours of May 7, 2024, the Willowbend Apartments in Jacksonville, Arkansas, became the scene of a fatal shooting. Responding to a call about a suspicious incident or an unconscious person at approximately 6:07 a.m., police discovered the body of Wa-Li Johnson outside one of the apartments at 300 Marshall Road. Mr. Johnson, a 43-year-old Black male, had sustained a gunshot wound.
