On April 26, 2023, 13-year-old Angelica "Kica" Johanne Hernandez was tragically shot and killed by her brother in their home in the Poplar Grove area of Salt Lake City, Utah. The incident occurred while Angelica was attempting to join an online math class via Zoom through Clayton Middle School.
