In a tragic incident on April 26, 2023, 13-year-old Hispanic female Angelica Kica Johanne Hernandez was killed in Salt Lake City, Utah. The cause of her death was a fatal gunshot wound. Following the event, her teenage brother was arrested in connection with the shooting.
Angelica, known affectionately as "Kica," was described as having a big heart and being full of life and love.
She was a student who excelled in her studies and had aspirations of becoming a child psychologist to help other children in need. She deeply cared for her mother and siblings and cherished her friendships, considering her friends to be like family. Her warm and caring nature meant she would do anything to see her loved ones smile.
Remembered for her love of camping, fishing, and spending quality time with family and friends, Angelica's presence is greatly missed. Her family held a viewing on May 8, 2023, at Starks Funeral Parlor. She is survived by her mother, Emily Inez Dumas, and her three siblings. Legal proceedings were initiated against her brother, who was arraigned in October 2023.
