On November 19, 1997, Nicole Lee Kerby, a 16-year-old student from Salt Lake City, Utah, was fatally shot in the head at an apartment located at 771 S. 200 East in Central City. The incident occurred when Blake Christopher Tademy, 24, who was handling a 9mm Glock handgun, accidentally discharged the weapon.
