In the late hours of a Monday evening in Salt Lake City, a gathering of men at an apartment in the Glendale neighborhood took a tragic turn, ending the life of 41-year-old Andrew Mozart Maka. On August 5, 2024, Maka, along with three other men, were drinking beer at an apartment near 1600 West and 1700 South. Maka had met one of the men just a week prior and had joined them after they made a trip to a convenience store.
