On December 17, 2023, a fatal shooting occurred in Council Bluffs, Iowa, resulting in the death of 62-year-old Gary Fredrick. The incident took place at 127 Harrison Street, where Fredrick had arrived and a disturbance broke out shortly after. During this disturbance, witnesses observed 27-year-old Mensah Olloway of Omaha producing a handgun and firing several rounds at Fredrick.
